This fabulous chalet-apartment is virtually ski-in, ski-out and only a short walk from the restaurants, shops and bars of central Meribel.
Dou du Pont is in a great location: in a small, exclusive and quiet enclave, a short walk (c. 50 metres) takes you to a track from which you can ski behind the Olympic Centre to La Chaudanne, the main ski area for Meribel. It is also very close (c. 5 minute walk) to the town centre and its shops, bars and restaurants, and of course to the swimming pool, ice rink and gym in the Olympic Centre. The chalet has beautiful views up the valley, of the Saulire mountain.
To ski back in, take the Roc de Fer chair lift, ski down the blue Gelinotte run. Where the piste signs get to the number 2, take a left off piste and you will see a track that takes you back to the chalet.
The light and airy sitting room offers stunning views of Saulire and much of the east side of the Meribel valley. Comfortable and well equipped, this is a great place to relax after a day's skiing.
The apartment sleeps between 9 and 11 people in 2 double rooms, 2 twin rooms and a single / bunk room (upper bed folds away) , all except one have a balcony.
There is one bathroom and one shower room on the first floor and and one shower room on the second floor.
There is a ski locker with heated boot warmers in the garage.
Also a separate utility room off the communal hallway below the apartment with washing machine and tumble drier.
A very large covered parking space in the shared garage, sufficient for two cars.
