Charming ski-in, ski out mountain retreat in Meribel Centre – sleeps 4
Nestled among the trees, just off the piste and very close to the town centre, this charming chalet is a perfect alpine hideaway for a family or group of 3-4 friends.
Built in the 1980’s, the heart of the chalet is its light open plan living room with sofa and rocking chair, dining table for 4-6, doors to a small balcony with heavenly views across the valley and small but functional kitchen. There's also a guest loo on this floor.
On the lower floor, accessed via a spiral staircase, are the two compact but comfortable bedrooms: a double and a twin room, which share a bathroom with washbasin and a separate shower room with washbasin and loo. There's also a small laundry room with washing machine.
Ski boots and coats are stored in a cupboard in the small entrance hallway, skis in an outside ski locker. Each morning, you just walk out the front door, click on your skis and you are off!
For larger groups, and depending on availability, Little Yates can be combined with Chalet Yates to sleep up to 12 guests.
Guests should note:
- That Little Yates is located across the Doron piste with no vehicular access or parking during the winter (you need to cross the piste to get to it)
- That stairs to the lower (bedroom) floor are steep.
- There is no TV
- There is currently no internet connection at the chalet. It is hoped that fibre will be installed in early December, but the nature and location of the chalet means that this is by no means certain.
